Warning about health websites

There are a number of websites that specialize in providing information about human health information. Some of these sites provide good information, while other sites may provide misleading or outdated advice. There is also the concern that some so-called health sites are really fronts for companies selling medical products or services.

The reason to use an health-oriented website should be to get some preliminary information on a health issue before you go to the doctor. You should always check several sites for the same information to get a broader view of the opinions offered. Considering the mistakes that doctors often make in some diagnoses, you can expect even more possible misinformation when something is offered for free.

Still, I feel you can get some good information from many of these health Web sites.
